What Causes Painful Intercourse, Red Bumps On Buttocks And Labia?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Jul 2015
Question: Can I please talk to a gynegynecologist? I have a genital skin problem. I was tested for herpes, but it was negative. My doctor said that it couldn't be HPV because those warts are very distinctive. They are small red bumps in a cluster on my left butt cheek, a few up the sides of my labia, and two on my left thigh. I can't tell if they are spreading or getting bigger. The spots on my thigh are new, I believe. I have a little pain during intercourse until I become more aroused and lubricated. I'm. on the depot shot and I wonder if that is a side effect of the shot or something else. Also, I have a little vaginal odor and white discharge. I'm not sure if that's just normal bacteria. Is it possible. my test results weren't accurate or what else could it be? thx

Brief Answer:
please attach a photograph

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Red bumps in cluster in perineal are and in gluteal region can be due to sexually transmitted diseases or can be a dermatological condition.
Little vaginal odour and white discharge is common, but since it is associated with these lesions, you should have a vaginal swab examination done to rule out any vaginal infection.
It would be more helpful to make a diagnosis and hence give you better advice, if you can attach a photograph of the lesion.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Please do get back to me with the information, if feasible.
