What Causes Pain, Redness And Swelling In The Thigh?

default
Posted on Fri, 16 Sep 2016
Question: Today when I got home from work, I noticed two swollen areas on my left thigh, just above my knee (one right above my knee, the other more to the inside of my thigh). They are red and sore, maybe a little warm to the touch. They are not round swellings, but feel like a portion of a garden hose under my skin. I do rest my left arm on my left leg when I bend down to scoop out my cat's litter box, so maybe I bruised the area? I am female, 60 years old, about 60 pounds overweight with a sedentary secretarial job. Thank you!
