What Causes Pain On The Right Side Of Navel?
Question: My husband (72 years old) has a pain just to the right of his navel about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. He notices it mainly when he stands up he has said. He still has his appendix and his gall bladder, it's not a constant pain and not a severe pain. Just wondering if he should be concerned about it. It's been going on for several months now, but not getting any worse. We eat lots of fresh food and raise out own meat which is grass fed.

Does that pain occurs with any event which caused increased abdominal pressure?like-rising from lying down,standing up from sitting positions?
Does it occur with colic ?
How does the pain reduce ? Massaging / or relaxing abdominal muscles?
Any nausea / vomiting / gases with it, any time in the past ?
When pain occurs does Constipation sets in with it?
Does it come after food intake?
Do you eat cooked or raw food ?
What about the current bowel movements?-whether they are hard or soft?
Just give pains exact location?
Any lump felt at the site on standing up-at the site of that pain?

Pain on right of navel- could be due to Colitis / or enteritis,
or could be from Para-umbilical hernia/ or spigelian hernia- with entrapped mesenteric/preperitoneal fat -because pain increases on rising up/or standing up.
Other possibilities needed to be ruled out.
Second opinion from Surgeon and USG abdomen with Stool ova/ cyst-is suggested to fix its exact cause.
