What Causes Pain On Penis Tip When Suffering From Herpes 2?
Question: diagnosed with Herpes 2. don't know if just contracted it ( 4 months ago) or have had it for long time. Problem now is pain in tip of penis. Cold feeling at tip. sharp pain occasionally ( line a pin prick or acute stabbing feeling). All other STD tests came back negative

Here are the answers:
1. I never did see any lesions. I just had severe itching in the urethra.
2. I do take Valtrex daily for a breakout condition that I get on my chin from time to time. ( I don't know if I contracted Herp2 years and years ago when I started getting this chin breakout. Dermatologist just prescribed Valtrex for chin and never mentioned herpes. I never was blood-tested for it until 1 month ago when I was worried about having a STD. 3. I don't have pain when urinating.
4. I see a little redness at urethral opening. But not really noticeable. Tip is very sensitive and often feels very cold at the tip.
5. I am circumcised.

Going by description, possibility of anterior urethritis needs to be considered.
I would suggest you the following
1 Hot Seitz bath : To a tub of lukewarm water add handful of common table salt. Sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes. Twice a day
2. After seitz bath apply Combination of Betamethasone and Framycetin ointment to tip twice a day
