As there is persistent pain and no problem while urination, there should be some frictional damage or mucosal wall injury inside urethra. Intravenous Pyelography, ascending pyelography or urethroscopy needed probably.Consult general surgeon or uro surgeon.

The pain is not severe it's mild and it is not always constant. it happened about three days ago after having sex with my wife. we did try a different lube that we once used but stopped using it, it is water-based! Also a bout five months ago I cheated and received oral sex. However I had three full STD panel's come back negative! Hiv, hep abc, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes 1&2, syphilis I took my last test last week? I don't think they STD has anything to do with it but I guess I am unsure at this point!

hello

thanks for follow up again.

The pain will go away on its own likely. Your all STD testing negative that is good.
Your problem is likely due to some problem during sex, may be due to that water based lubrication.
Just need to think that ," Does your wife have any problem?" If she has urogenital infection or like problem, please check for it and treat it.
Drink more water, do not take spicy or sour food until no pain.

You had history of similar pain five months ago after oral sex as I understood from your narration."How much duration did it last? Did it heal on its own?"

If you become pain free on its own now,no need to worry.
If your pain lasts for more than a week, or it becomes more severe , please consult doctor.
If possible attend a sexologist for couple sex counselling for different , proper and enjoyable methods and technique of sex.
