What Causes Pain In The Right Upper Torso?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jan 2017
Question: hi , I have a pain in my right upper torso only when I bend over or move in a certain way. I had blood in my urine with a week ago and started taking antibiotic because I thought I might have a urine infection. That all seems to have cleared up but now I have this uncomfortable area. I did drink a lot of alcohol over Christmas but apart from that have been eating quite healthy. I am female aged 34 and have hashimotos.

Brief Answer:
Urinary infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

Do you have any tingling or numbness?

Do you have fever?

Any burning sensation on passing urine?

For your upper back pain you can take pain killers and get an Xray of your Thoracic spine to look for spondylitis changes.

The blood in the urine could be due to urinary stone and urinary infection. Do get an Xray and ultrasound KUB and upload reports for my reference. Get your urine tests done as well.

Keep well hydrated. Eat healthy. Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the affected regions.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

thank you for your answers, my pain when bending over is on the front kind of pushing towards my rib cage, I have no pain when urinating now but a week a ago my urine infection was pretty bad with burning and only a few drops of urine and bright red blood, that's ok now I was more worried about the pain in my stomach it has been there for three days and only a stabbing pain when I bend over. thank you
