What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Apr 2017
Question: I have pain in my lower abdomen and thighs. It's a constant pain which I am experiencing from past couple of days. It generally happens when I am about to get my periods but right now there is still time for that. Is it because of discontinuing PCOS medicine?

Brief Answer:
Due to stoppage of medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting us with your health concerns
This is most likely because of discontinued medicine as in PCOD generally hormones are in a dysregulated state so cause bizarre symptoms of and on.
Can you tell me the medicine taken by you and the last ultrasound so as to advise you better

I was taking Deviry. 4 tablets a month from last 3 months as advised by the doctor.
Ultrasound was done around May last year which showed PCOS.

Brief Answer:
PCOD and irregular periods stay in place

Detailed Answer:
No dear most likely it is PCOD only and taking deviry just for 4 days will not help much.
You should avoid gaining weight and assume an active lifestyle
In PCOD we are to treat symptoms and not PCOD per se.
Irregular periods are a part and parcel of PCOD and will stay till life so don't feel sad about it
