Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised and increase dose gradually

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Treatment of pain due to Phantom limb comprises medications and surgery.
Drugs like amitriptyline, nortriptyline, sertraline, gabapentin, carbamazepine and pregabalin can be used with increasing doses according to response.
Opioid like Tapentadol can be used too.
TENS can be tried too.
If medications fails, then surgery can be planned.
Dorsal root rhizotomy is used for pain relief too.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
