Question: When excersising recently with light barbells, I don't use heavy weights, I experience pain/pressure in the inner portion of my right elbow. It causes general discomfort to my whole body similar to my experience when I got heart stents. Generally I am quite health. Do you have any advise?

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a musculoskeletal pain.

But, considering the fact that you have coronary stents, I would recommend consulting with your cardiologist for a physical examination and some tests:

- a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- an exercise cardiac stress test or dobutamine stress echo to investigate for myocardial ischemia.

You should discuss with your physician on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
