What Causes Pain In The Collarbone While Sleeping?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jan 2017
Question: I woke up yesterday with pain around my right collarbone, that's the side I sleep on. Last night every time I moved it hurt. Could I have slept on it wrong, or I don't have a very good pillow either. Because before yesterday I didn't have this pain. Or could I have strained it Friday I couldn't go to the bathroom and I could feel something weird on my chest when I tried to, but now I am going ok...what can I do to sleep better with this or what can I take or what can I put on it for the pain?

Brief Answer:
Due to bad posture.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain is likely to be due to a bad posture during sleeping. It is best to lie on your back while sleeping. The pain will subside in next few days. In addition to heat, advil, muscle rub cream, you can take an oral muscle relaxant for an early recovery.
I hope this answers your query.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Oral muscle relaxants are medicines like chlorzoxazone which are prescription only drugs.
