Brief Answer:
Some more information. Continue breastfeeding. USG breasts.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Please do continue with the breastfeeding as before.

I would like to know about a few things in detail.
This will be of help to suggest you better treatment options.

1. Have you been able to feel a lump like swelling in the breast?
2. Is there a fever with chills?
3. Is the concerned area red and hitting touch?

I will suggest you not squeeze or press the area.

If needed please get USG of the breast done.

Please feel free to communicate with me again.

I hope this answer helps you.

Brief Answer:
Gynecologist check-up. Keep breasts empty after feeding.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In my opinion, your symptoms can be due to galacocoele, meaning the collection of milk.

This can be due to obstruction to outflow from the milk gland.

I will suggest you get examined by your gynecologist to differentiate between galactocoele and breast abscess.

Till then keep trying to keep breasts empty after feeding the baby.

Use of hot fomentation is advisable. But do not use any force to squeeze the breast tissue.

Use of analgesic like Paracetamol as needed is advisable.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
