Question: Hi,
I feel it difficult to stand for long, i get a mild pain in the lower back almost at the end of the back one. But I can walk and run for long. Please suggest

Thanks for the query.

It's possible that you are experiencing mild back strain. Other cause could be bony deformity like slippage of the bone or abnormal contour of bones in the spine.

Nothing to worry. Avoid bending either forward or backwards for now and avoid lifting weights. Avoid sitting or standing more than half an hour at a stretch. Do walk around a bit. You can apply warm wet cloth to the affected regions. Apply pain killer gel twice a day.

Do get an Xray of the lumbosacral spine to look for these abnormalities which may be causing you the pain.
