What Causes Pain In Chest After An Injury?

Question: My son 12 yrs got hit just below the chest area on the left side while playing in the sea. A big wave came and he was thrown to my right knee. He was holding my right hand. Less than one hour ago.
He is appearing fine now. Just reporting a pain when touched at the area.
Drank water. Hd bath etc.

Is there a cause for concern

You need to take muscle relaxant and analgesics.
