Question: 22 year old female, excruciating head pain (back left side) seeing spots, prone to panic attacks, alone, first night in new home. feeling like want to throw up. never had migraine before but has had 5-8 significant panic attacks. had her take ibuprophine and drink lots of water. on phone with father to keep calm. how do get migraine to lessen if that is what it is. (has had meningitis shot. Only drank a few beers and a shot over several hours during game). started feeling headache coming on before went to bed 2 hours ago.

These symptoms indicate migraine attack and this is common condition in her age. Treatment in acute phase may be difficult. She must continue with nonsteroid painkillers such as ibuprofen but also diclofenac or naproxen can be tried. Also anxiolytic should be taken.

Lavender or pepermint Oil can be taken by inhalation or topically.

She should avoid certain food such as: chocolate; peanut butter; certain fruits, such as avocado, banana, and citrus; onions; meats with nitrates, such as bacon and hot dogs. She should have scalp massage, rest, avoid lights, smoky and loud areas.
