Question: I am a guy. We had sex today. I experienced a bit of pain while putting on the condom and I have a feeling I didnt put it on right. there was a big gap between my tip and the edge of the condom. about two inches of the condom was loosely hanging. Also I think I rolled the wrong side down. Can there be any problem for the either of us?

Brief Answer:
There might be leakage of semen to vagina

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
It might be that you rolled the condom the wrong way and the lubricated side was outside and that is the reason it did not go smooth and you experienced pain. If you unroll the condom that and then try wearing it then you may experience discomfort.

Putting on the condom the right method is to be followed. First make your penis erect by foreplay and then after removing condom from sealed package, please place it at the head of penis and start unrolling along the shaft of penis. This way, there will not be any gap between condom tip and penis. There is a small bulge at the tip which is meant for the semen to get collected during sex.

Two inches of condom loosely hanging is not the right way and can lead to condom failure in preventing pregnancy. The incident can lead to pregnancy if there has been leakage of semen to the vagina.

Hope your query is answered.

thank you Dr XXXXXXX

However I did not ejaculate during intercourse and there was no liquid in the condom except for some lubs. though upon removal of the condom I found a bit of my "cum" very little amount, a sticky kind of material not the regular semen I find upon masturbation. Is this normal? Do you think there's any chance of pregnancy? I mean in anyway possible.

Brief Answer:
Chance of pregnancy almost nil

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Welcome, the amount of cum varies with different people and might be normal. There is very little chance of pregnancy if there was not enough seminal fluid and you did not ejaculate. The only way possible is if you allowed the cum to touch near vagina.

If you feel that your penis touched her vagina after removing condom then you may ask her to take one iPill immediately, without delay. If not then please do not worry.

Hope your query is answered.
