Brief Answer:
Anal pain may be due to fissure, fistula or hemorrhoids.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. I am Dr. Manan Patel answering your query.

Pain while passing stool may be due to anal fissure, fistula or hemorrhoids. These all things are strongly associated with constipation or chronic diarrhea. Did you, in the recent past, suffer from constipation, diarrhea or had these symptoms after you passed a large stool? Blood clots or bleeding can be seen after passing stool in case of hemorrhoids.

These conditions can be managed at home by following certain instructions:
1) Drink plenty of water.
2) Have high fiber diet e.g. fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
3) Have Sitz bath. (Sit in tub of hot water several times a day.)
4) Apply local pain relief ointment to anal region or take oral pain killers.
5) If you are having problem of constipation, over-the-counter stool softeners can be helpful in relieving pain.

In most of the cases pain subsides after above mentioned measures. If symptoms persist or worsen after these measures then you should consult a general surgeon for definite diagnosis. He would do alocal examination of anus and rectum.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Lidocaine topical, ibuprofen tablet and Dulcolax would help you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

You can use Lidocaine topical anesthetic gel for local application along with tablet Combiflam orally thrice a day to relieve pain. Use Dulcolax stool softener by mouth, at bedtime with a full glass (250 ml) of water or juice.

If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health.
