Brief Answer:
Rule out ominous causes

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Thanks for the question.

Please confirm that you do not have any risks towards heart disease like Diabetes, High BP, previous history of heart ailments.

Though your description was sounding more about reflux esophagitis with dyspepsia we need to ensure that is not ominous sx of heart disease. A pain of 8 and above should always suspect heart disease and get ECG done.

Now you can take GAS -X two tablets at a time for the bloated feeling. The distended stomach with gas is pushing the diaphragm and pain is upwards.

Do not take anything by mouth till the anxiety subsides except a few sips of water for medication.

Try to empty the bowels now by walking around and stimulating the bowel movements.

Once this subsides you may start with PRILOSEC OTC every morning before breakfast for 10 days.

Hope this answers.

Brief Answer:
Gastritis ??

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

So I assume you had no risks towards heart disease and not alcoholic.

Referred pain in between shoulder blades due to bloated stomach, that is what I referred by the pain going upwards.

If GAS X does not relieve the pain in an hour then you should go to the hospital. We need to follow up with Ultrasound scan.
