What Causes Pain Between The Scrotum And Anus?

default
Posted on Mon, 21 Apr 2014
Question: I get extreme pain in the area between my scrotum and anus, more toward my anus and on the sides of my scrotum by my thighs. Always uncomfortable and flares up when walking even if only for a couple of minutes. Unbearable to walk with. I have tried anti fungal creams, keeping area clean, changing clothes and wearing looser and tighter under clothes. I do not know what else to do or try.

Brief Answer: You need to consult a dermatologist Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic. Anti-fungals will be effective if a fungal infection is present in the area between the anus and scrotum. It appears that the symptoms are not due to fungal infection. The predominant symptom that you have described is that of pain and discomfort. Fungal infection is characterized by itching, and ring worm like lesion on the skin. Fungal infection is common in perineal region because the area remains wet as compared to other areas. Pain is not a predominant feature of fungal infection. You need to consult a dermatologist for clinical examination of the lesion. A primary skin lesion can produce the symptoms described above. Meanwhile you should stop using anti-fungal cream till the lesion is proved to be fungal and wear loose underclothing. If seems that tight clothing is causing the symptoms. If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer. Dr Shailja P Wahal

I phrased that wrong I have tried looser under clothes and tighter under clothes. The tighter ones seem to help a little bit.
