default
Posted on Thu, 16 Feb 2017
Question: I was hit in the left temple and ear by a soccer ball kicked at full force. Instantly had the sensation of blood in my mouth and intense throbbing at the left temple. Left ear is visibly bruised but I'm concerned that I have extreme pain and tenderness on the exact opposite temple now an hour later.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Injury due to football may range from mild to severe.
Is there any loss of consciousness, seizures, bleeding via ear or nose?
Any hearing loss?
Local tenderness may present for few days.
You can take zerodol sp twice daily along with omeprazole once daily.
If any new symptoms occur, then CT may be required.

No loss of conciousness. Just dizzy and internal pain and pressure on the opposite temple that was hit. It throbs inside. The external tenderness is on the actual side hit by the ball.
