Brief Answer:
get a xray / mri done

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting the query.

It seems that there is a recurrence of tail bone inflammation.Ideally, recurrence should not occur unless you suffer from a trauma again,or if you sit for long periods of time.

First thing you need to do is avoid sitting on hard surface. If at all sitting is required, then use a soft pillow beneath the tail bone.

Medicines and injections actually should provide you some relief.
Alcohol consumption has no direct effect on the pain but it will not allow the medicines to act to their full capacity.
So try and avoid alcohol consumption till you are taking medicines.

A short course of steroid tablets should help reduce the inflammation faster.
Sitz bath taken twice a day will also help.

If this doesnt help then, you need to get an xray / mri of that part done to see whats wrong.

Feel free to ask me any futher doubts that you may have.

Thank you. Take care

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Yes,you can surely add epsom salt to the lukewarm water.

Before taking a bath, apply local analgesic creams, and then take a sitz bath for atleast 15 minutes.

Repeat this in the night as well.

Steroid tablets cannot be taken without having a prescription. So,you can consult your doctor and ask him to start you on low dose steroid tablets.

Thank you.
