Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Fever, vomiting, neck pain and stiffness is feature suggestive of meningitis or meningismus.
In presence of rashes possibility of viral infection is more probable.
Please upload csf reports.
Usually csf findings in viral meningitis is less deranged.
Further blood work up like platelet counts, automated count, renal and liver function test should be done.
You said that you passed away that means you have Loss of consciousness or seizure.
Brain imaging may be required in such case.
Examination and opinion by a neurologist will be helpful.
