default
Posted on Mon, 21 Sep 2015
Question: Doctor, I have recently developed pain and stiffness in my knees, wrists, fingers, left side of neck and my right side of face. My vitals are perfect and this pain is all new. I'm 62 years old and considered in excellent health. They are testing my blood for Lyme Disease but I think my body is being attacked by a virus or infection of some sort. Any thoughts.

Brief Answer:
I think you need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that since the duration of symptoms is very less nothing can be said firmly . I think there exists a possibility of Lymes disease and your doctors are evaluating you rightly but also rheumatoid arthritis and polymyalgia rheumatica can be a possible differential . Also please send me your test reports so that I can understand your problem better and help you out .

Any other query please tell.

Take care.

Dr. Shruti
