What Causes Pain And Numbness In Palm And Sole After Excessive Masturbation?

Question: doctor!

i m 28 year male . masturbate 12-15 time in a month from last one year. from last month i m feeling pain like needle and numbness in my palm and sole. pls provide consultation. is it result of over masturbating?? how it can be treated? from last month i stop to masturbate.

Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and following myths should be understood first:

A. Masturbation doesn't cause

1. fatigue, sexual illness or reduced function,health issues or low sperm count infact it is a natural phenomenon of body to relieve itself of sexual urges.

2. If one is suffering from any psychiatry disorder mainly OCD [obsessive compulsive disorder] then it can pose problem like: problem at work & social and in relationship, feeling guilt, In Ayurveda we categorize both the problem as ' VATA' Disorder thus:

. Avoid taking/having anxiety,fear,nervousness [start with brahmi vati or tablet mentat: 2 tablet at bed time]

. Avoid cold/dry/light/diet, take low cholesterol diet.

. for numbness and pins and needle sensation check with blood sugar/vitamin B12/lipid level and have a Neurologist Opinion.

. Is there any constant fear of being judged or being evaluated which has resulted in anxious thoughts and anxious behavior?

. Avoid: excess physical –mental exertion, sun exposure, corrylium, smoking, errhine therapy, betel leaves, gruel, soup, day time sleeping, garlic, ginger, onion, spicy-heavy- junk food, mustard oil, pickles.
. Take: mint, coriander, tomato, cumin, plenty of water, vitamins and mineral supplements, apple, banana,grapes,dates.

. practice: bhujangasana [cobra pose],halasana [plow pose], paschimottasana [seated forward bend], sarvangasana [shoulder stand], and pranayamas like bhastrika and kapalbhati.

. Apple, almond, banana, broccoli, cantaloupe, melon, carrot, cashew nut, corn, cauliflower, grapes, guava, lemon, XXXXXXX orange, pineapple, soybean, spinach have anti oxidant and detoxifying properties so take them in plenty.
