What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In Legs And Ankles?

I have an ache/burning in my right leg - thigh and by ankle --- appears to be swollen -- seems to swell up and by end of day and goes down at night. Also tingling and heaviness in the arm and some swelling (more from the swelling I believe) --- sometimes slight clammy feeling and slight nausea Just general not feeling well. Been going on the last few days

Hi,
Unilateral leg edema that is more at the end of the day is usually due to varicose veins. You need to exlcude deep vein thrombosis via duplex U/S and any pelvic mass via pelvic U/s . for the leg edema you may use compression stockings and that is the best method to relieve the edema. . Tingling in the arm seems to be a different condition and can be from hypocalcemia . You also need to check your sugar level. That in fact can also give pin and needle sensations initially in the hands and feet. Please if you have diabetes, you need to keep a tight control of your sugar. That can in fact present with general feeling of being unhealthy. Another rare reason which may present with unilateral leg edema is lymphatic obstruction for some reason which if there can be thoroughly evaluated by lymphoid scintigraphy. Please consult your physician for further evaluation.
Its unlikely that your leg edema is due to heart condition since that is always bilateral. Thank you.
