What Causes Pain After Nerve Block Injections?

Question: I've had 2 succeessful nerve block injections. Plan to have RFA procedure next week - Diagnosis
is pinched nerve at facet joint - right side. Will this procedure probably be helpful, in your opinion?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern regarding this procedure.

Radiofrequency ablation procedure is a generally effective method to relieve pain but it does have its share of failure.
Careful selection of the patients for whom it is indicated is very important, that is evaluated through efficacy of nerve blocks, since you have two such successful blocks you are an appropriate candidate.
Success rates can vary, 65-75% of patients experience pain relief which lasts on average for 10-15 months, there are many cases where it lasts for over two years.

So in my opinion the procedure has a very good chance of being helpful and I would recommend it.
