What Causes Pain Across The Forearms?

default
Posted on Wed, 26 Apr 2017
Question: I have pain across the top of my fore arm. Recovering from right hip replacement surgery 6 weeks ago I moved from a single crutch to a cane in my left hand. Might that have something to do with it?

Brief Answer:
Can be due to use of crutch.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Using a single crutch in the arm can put an extra pressure of weight bearing on the arm causing the pain. This can happen due to mild inflammation of the tendon also. You need to give the area a rest and avoid all painful activities. You can do a hot compress and have a mild pain killer like alleve or Motrin. in case the pain persists then do consult an orthopedician for a direct examination.
I hope this answers your query.
