What Causes Over Sensitive Frenulum?

default
Posted on Tue, 9 Sep 2014
Question: My frenulum gets over sensitive, sometimes painful and red after sex with my wife. My frenulum was always sensitive but this sensitivity increased after I had sex multiple times a day a number of occasions.

I tried giving weeks of no-sex break throughout the last couple of months. The reaks did not seem to help. The latest break I had was 3 weeks. It looked like my frenulum is normal again but after first sex it was again red and painful.

I also tried retracting my shaft and "toughening" the frenulum - it worked for some time but then it became sensitive again.

I tried to apply cold chamomile tea onto the area - no help.

I can't see any tear, it just feels like my frenulum is over sensitiv/used/exhausted. But now I don't even have sex more than once a day.

Any ideas what's going on and how can I recover?

Brief Answer:
Recovery would be longer than expected!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this over sensitive frenulum. It is rather unfortunate but neurological abnormalities like these would generally take longer than expected to get resolved compared to wounds. This is because we really do not have medications that effectively controls nerve pain in a short time interval. The sensitive nature and th sores after sores can be explained by repeated trauma that you sustained during the period of multiple sex in a day. healing is a long process and probably the breaks have not been long enough to enable complete and permanent recovery. I know it may be difficult to observe longer breaks but, I will recommend that you stay very gentle during sex and avoid thorough and vigorous thrusting as this would inevitably provoke and maybe aggravate the already worrisome symptoms. Do you use condoms during sex? If not, give it a try and see whether it changes the after sex sensitivity of the frenulum or not.

In all, this is caused by trauma during the days of multiple sex daily. Healing would take long and gentle and friendly gestures during sex alongside trial of condoms may prove helpful.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thanks for your answer. I thought this was the case, as you say it may take long to heal. I do now take extra caution to have light sex.

Since we want to have children I do not use condom nor would I like to - unless I really had to.

Is there anything else that you could advise to speed up the healing process? Only natural please.

Brief Answer:
Gentle and reduced frequency of sex would help!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up.

I understand your reason for not wanting to use condoms. They are very realistic.

There is no other way to accelerate this process. Same measures over a longer period of time would help a great deal. Keep up with them.

I wish you well.
