What Causes Osteomyelitis?
Question: Good morning Dr. Grief: My name is Bob. I just got a call from my local ER saying that my brother will be admitted for antibiotic treatments for osteomyelitis (forgive the spelling) . Osteomyelitis is inflammation/infection of the bone caused by an infecting organism.
As you have mentioned he had injury about couple of years ago and he is having diabetes, that injury might be the reason for infection in bone.

He needs proper workup inform of blood counts, X rays etc as per advice from his doctor.
