Question: I have been experiencing ongoing excessive fatigue: difficulty waking up during the work week and sleeping excessive amounts (12 hours or more) on the weekends and having to drag myself out of bed, almost daily "dumping" wherein regardless of what I eat and when I may experience immediate diarrhea after a meal, and overall periods of difficulty with attention. I also now am weighing 157lbs where I've never weighed more than 140lbs maximum am not eating but 2 meals a day and have gained all the weight in my midsection.

Brief Answer:
Please get investigation as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If you are having fatigue and excessive sleepiness with menstrual abnormalities you definitely need blood investigations.
There may be possibility of anemia, vitamin deficiency or Thyroid disorder.
You should get complete hemogram, serum sodium, potassium, calcium, urea, creatinine, liver function test, Thyroid profile, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and ultrasound abdomen.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thank you so much for your guidance! Any advice as far as how to approach the suggestions you have given? My PCP for the past 3 years has not responded to my concerns: no blood work/panel, no physical exam because my vitals are WNL. I also saw a separate PCP with the same results...no blood panel, no investigation at all. I slept 14 hours today and still feel exhausted just sitting up.

Brief Answer:
Consult another doctor or neurologist for investigation advice

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You can get all routine testing by a central lab in your area providing different health panel investigations if you have no mediclaim issues.
Otherwise you need to get it advised by one or the other physician.
You can also take a visiting consultation from a neurologist.
