What Causes Oil Filled Cyst On Breasts?
Question: I had felt a little lump in my right breast, the one where they did find the cancer, got scared, had it checked, was told it was am oil filled cyst? Never heard of this, oil filled?

By oil filled cyst they must have meant lipid rich fluid in the cyst.Oild filled description is just a simplified way to describe it.
Such kind of cysts are know.MRI breast is diagnostic of this.
What all investigations were done to evaluate this lump?

Took bunches off mammograms, was suppose to have a ulrasound, they didn't, where very bussy today. Was told to leave the cyst allone would come back and just get bigger every time they would evapored it, send me on home.

Its difficult to say,if it is oil cyst only on mammogram.A plain mammogram can't tell content of the cysts.
Ideal is to get a sonomammography and MRI done.These are desired investigations before course of actions is sided.
Or even PET CT is more ideal, though costly investigation.But it helps to evaluate breasts and also entire body for cancer related lesions.
Please consider getting more investigations done , before deciding course of action.

There is no course of action, was told it would do no harm,and to leave it alone taken care of the cyst would make it come back bigger and bigger?
