Brief Answer:
Likely nerve pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

From the facts you have posted here, the first possibility comes in my mind is a nerve related pain but I will need more information to assess the condition better.

1) Since how many days you are having this occasional sharp pain?
2) Whether it subsides on it's own or by taking any medications?
3) How long it lasts? Any other symptoms like tingling or numbness apart from pain in leg and head?
4) Any exaggerating factor like stress or anxiety or dehydration or any other?
5) Any history of disease like diabetes or thyroid or any history of injury?

First,I will want to check your vitamin B12 and D level to rule out neuropathic pain.

Kindly get back to me with these answers,I will give my opinion after that.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
Likely nerve pain,

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the immediate reply,

As I suspected earlier, stress could be the exaggerating factor for such kind of pain.

However,if it lasts for few seconds then I do not think there is much medical intervention required here.

You should take anti-anxiety drugs (like recita forte) with help of some local physician to reduce stress level and have sound sleep.

Also, check your blood sugar and TSH if they have not been tested recently.

Check your serum vitamin B12 level and if it is low then we can plan our treatment accordingly.

Usually, this kind of symptom is temporary and subsides on it's own by avoiding the triggering factor. So there is no need to worry much.

Let me know if I can help you further.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
