At night time, when I lay down, my arms and hands become numb. However, getting the feeling back takes a very long time. I have t get out of bed and walk around and move my arms around for about an hour or so and sometimes I still don't get total feeling back until even longer. I started taking ibuprofine before bedtime and it "seems" to help. I also have mild pain in my fore arms, shoulders and neck in certain positions. This all just started a couple of weeks ago.

Brief Answer:
Bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and cervical issues to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

In my opinion, two are the conditions to consider in your case:

- Bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome,

- Cervical spine instability.

It is necessary to undergo tests such nerve conduction study and cervical spine MRI in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.

Treatment depends upon the diagnosis and surgery may be necessary.

Discuss with your Doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
