What Causes Numbness In Finger After Having Meth Shot?

default
Posted on Mon, 7 Sep 2015
Question: Hi I injected meth and coke last night, at different times (not mixed) in a vein in my right arm between the shoulder and bicep meth.. And same place on the left arm coke. My problem is my left hand starting at the base of the Palm only over about an inch from pinky side. My pinky is also numb and I can't move it out to the left ( palm down) (away from the hand) I'm putting heat on it via hot towel and elevating it should I be worried about maybe a vein is clotted?

Brief Answer:
Features are suspicious of nerve injury in the arm.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Good morning. How are you?

I appreciate your concern for your inability to move your left pinky properly.

I have gone through your query diligently. I am under the impression that the features described in your query are suspected to be due to the accidental injury to the nerve (ulnar) in the left elbow producing numbness of the pinky inability to move it to the left and down.

I advise you to consult a physician or neurologist for further evaluation like Nerve conduction test, Electromyography (recording of the electrical activity in muscles) to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile:

1. Take some NSAID pain killers,
2. Apply supportive splint/pad at elbow which can help prevent further injury and relieve the symptoms. You may need to wear it all day and night.
3. Be careful to avoid leaning on the elbow.

Hope to have explained the possible reasons behind your present problem.

Should you need more clarification, please feel free to send a follow-up query.

Wishing you best of your health.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
