Brief Answer:
Difficulty in moving upper eye lid

Detailed Answer:
It requires local examination by an eye doctor. The cause may be neurological or inflammatory or allergic inflammation. This type problem may be result of bells palsy but it should have other signs and symptoms like mouth drawn to opposite side, absence of forehead wrinkle, tongue drawn to one side. As you have informed there is no purulent discharge. In allergy there is no mucous like discharge. It will be watery and itching are main associated symptom.
In your case it appears to be neurological problem. facial muscle movement including ocular muscle are to be elicited. Can start taking tablet like Neurobion forte and combiflam after food for one week. Thyroid function test may be done. Diabetes and Myastheniagravis is to be ruled out. Action of palpebral oculi and levetor palpabrie is to be tested first.
