Brief Answer:
Fall

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for your question. This is a very common occurrence in this age group. That he didn't lose consciousness is the most important part of the story. Nosebleeds can happen, as it did in your son's case, but are not cause for concern if they stop as fast as it did. Swelling is to be expected. Ice applied to this area can minimize the swelling.
The next sign to watch for is vomiting within the first 24 hours after the fall. As long as this doesn't happen, we do not have to worry about brain injury. If he does vomit within the first 24 hours, I recommend contacting your doctor immediately.

Thank you for your reply.

My child is sleeping now but was complaining that he was giddy before he slept. Is it of any concern? Also, I did asked him to try walking when he complained of giddiness and he didn't look clumsy in his movement.

The giddiness is of no concern. Also, i am happy to hear that he didn't look clumsy.
he may experience headache over the next few days. This is also not anything to be worried about if it happens.
The one sign we want to keep our eyes open for is vomiting within the first 24 hours.
