Posted on Thu, 17 Jul 2014
Question: Me and my husband are trying to have a baby. it hasn't happened in the few months. I bought a ovulation test over the counter. I took it everyday at the same time. It never said I was ovulating. My periods are regular, I am taking my prenatals. My question is "what could cause me not ovulating?"

Brief Answer:
Follicular growth scan.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply

1. If you have regular cycles it is very much possible that you are ovulating.

2. Ovulation kit you use are not known for giving accurate results for ovulation.

3. The margin of error exists in such kits.

4. Therefore I suggest you get follicular growth scan done to check ovulation which will be easier to confirm ovulation and best time to have intercourse.

5. Meanwhile get semen analysis done for your husband.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
