Question: Hi. I am a 48 year old female. I am experiencing extreme pain in my right nipple for past 4 days. It is a darker pink than usual, no discharge. No trauma to area, had a hysterectomy 6 years ago. Had chills last night

Brief Answer:
Infection possible

Detailed Answer:

I understand your concerns.

Sudden onset of pain and discoloration are likely to be due to infection of breast / nipple.

Generally this reduces by itself. If not reduced, in next 4 days or increases. Please get examined by your doctor and get antibiotics prescribed.

I don't think this could be related to cancer.
