What Causes Nerve Pain Above Eyebrows And Between Ears And Eyes?

Question: I had prk surgery a month ago.. and from last 5 days, I am having nerves pain in the region above eyebrow and between ears and eyes. It's not like normal headache.
Sometimes the nerves hurts even if I move my head.
What could be the reason? Should I be worried? No vision problem is there.

The symptoms you are describing appear to be characteristic for 'Tension type headache'.Tension type headache may present in different manners like this one-'the nerves hurts even if I move my head'.

I suggest you to please take adequate rest and plenty of fluids.Along with,start doing regular mental relaxation exercises like yoga/meditation.I hope to see you improve in a couple of days.

If it does not improve,drug therapy with amitriptyline may be started.ALL MEDICINES ARE TO BE TAKEN UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE ONLY.

Thanks for your reply sir.
I forgot to tell you that I also feel like my right eye and its surrounding skin moves.. like how a heart beats.
I had photo refractive keratectomy surgery. Is this caused by the surgery?
Is this pain issue really serious? It's curable?

It can't be said with confirmation whether surgery have contributed to these symptoms or not.

This does not appear to be a serious issue and will hopefully improve soon.

Hello doctor
Can't make a video of it. It happens only when I sleep ... it's like eye twiching
I am not tensed about anything.. so I think it's not tension headache.
Few more points to tell you
1. When I bring my jaw down, some cracking noise comes from area below the ear.
2. I feel some pressure above eyebrow and near right eye n immense pressure between right eye and ear that goes away if I open my eyes( but pain still remains)
3. Sometimes I get neck pain as well

Tension type headache does not directly relate to what we perceive as tension.It is actually related to tension in the muscle fibres of scalp,neck and associated muscles.So,it can well be tension type headache.

Psychogenic element may also be contributing to the symptoms.

Please start taking Tab.amitriptyline 10 mg once a day at bedtime.I hope to see you improving.
