Brief Answer:
It's temporary, will be subsided in a couple of days

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

The pain you are having is caused due to pressure on neck muscles when holding sneeze.

That is temporary and will subside in a couple of days.

Have always something to drink when swallowing. Avoid too hard foods or try to chew up well all the foods before swallowing.

All the best.

It doesnt feel like a muscle. It feels like it is behind my left tonsil at the very top of my windpipe. If feels tender now, but when I yawn, it feels like tge cycle of discomfort starts over again. See attched photo of where pain is

Brief Answer:
Details below....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

As mentioned before, this type of discomfort is normal after holding the sneeze.

When talking about muscular, what I was trying to say is regarding the discomfort you feel. In other words, that is not related to any organ damage although you feel like it's behind your tonsil.

Once again that is temporary and will be subsided in a few days.

If you'll notice no improvement or symptoms getting worse, then ENT specialist to consult further.

All the best.
