What Causes Nausea, Loss Of Appetite And Dizziness?

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Oct 2017
Question: I have been feeling nausea and lightheaded for several days. Loss of appetite the first couple of days. Now can eat a few things, but the thought of anything with cream in it makes me more nauseous. Feeling week. Nausea and lightheadedness keep me from exercising. Walking around the block only. Drinking tons of liquids. This morning my sinuses feel sort of full. Any idea what's going one? I really need to get my strength back and exercise because have a big trip coming up. Thanks.
A week ago I had the first of Hep A inoculation. All of my blood tests were good at that doctor's appointment.

Depleted gut flora.

Detailed Answer:

Hello Dear patient,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
Most likely you are having dyspepsia(indigestion) with disturbed gut flora.
start taking-
VSL#3 is probiotic. It will restore the good flora of gut and would help in proper digestion.Meanwhile also get a stool routine and microscopy test done. As if it will be positive for bacteria, antibiotics will be prescribed. It will most likely take about 5-7 days for the episode to end.

Take Zofran 4 mg thricecdaily for nausea control.

Some general instructions apart from medicines(your gastroenterologist will prescribe) to help you in fast recovery are --

- Increase XXXXXXX warm water intake
- Try to eat lot of vegetables, take a lot of Yogurt along with food.
- Eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear ".
- Take a diet which is very low in Fat.
- Add lot of vegetables and fruits to your diet.
- Packaged fruit juices should not be taken.
- Frequent and small meals should be taken.
- Take small amount of food every 2 hours,Don't take large meals at one time.

- Keep your body hydrated.
- Ispaghula husk should be taken 2 tsf in a glass of water while going to bed daily.
