Question: My wife has gone through 4 month of extreme nause! GI tests detected Celiac Disease, for which she has been on a strict glutin free diet. The diet has not had any effect on her nausea io date! However, her stress level has incresed more as each day goes by. Her doctors have tried a number of anxiety med with little or no effect, which has resulted in additional stress. Her eurologist today mentioned concern about the adrenal as a possible. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
High stress can be due to adrenals over activity.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Nausea can be due to some Gi problem, but you are already consulting a gastroenterologist , adrenals can be responsible for high stress levels. but there will be other symptoms in that case. high BP, high sugars, increasing weight, striae , muscle weakness. is she having any of these? then there can be electrolyte imbalance as well. still if you doubt you can get her cortisol 8 am fasting sample done, ACTH 8 am fasting sample.
