What Causes Nausea And Weakness?

default
Posted on Fri, 1 Jul 2016
Question: I am 65 Female, and my problem is that I sleep like 10 hours a day and still have NO energy, feel nausea most of the time. I had my Gall Bladder removed last summer and that has corrected IBS issues. My cholesterol is high, but Statins made me feel like I feel now. When I quit I felt great, but now back to no energy. I am 5 7 133lbs, and loosing weight again as I have no appetite. The only time I feel energy is when I smoke pot. Then I have an appetite, and get moving. I don't want to smoke more and more, but it helps. My mother had Heart Disease, Thyroid issues. I do have Restless Leg and take Requip for that & is under control. I have arthritis and take 2-3 Naproxen each day. I am very active normally but now, I can barely make it through Walmart! LOL Any ideas? Thanks XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Thyroid and heart issues have to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concern.

Many of your symptoms could point to an underlying thyroid with or without a heart disease.

This need an in-depth evaluation through complete thyroid profile testing, cardiac evaluation like Echo and ECG with serum electrolyte profile.

Once the test results are out further therapeutic management can be planned accordingly.

Statins have to be continued in presence of abnormal lipid profile for an indefinite period.

REQUIP, NAPROXEN and B12 can be continued as of now.

To evaluate the arthritis better, I advise you to get a complete ANA profile to rule out Autoimmune disorders.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you
