What Causes Muscle Spasms Under Breast While Bending Over?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Mar 2015
Question: When I bend over to tie my shoe or turn from the left to the right and bend over sometimes I get a feeling under my left breast. It's not a lot of pain. It's hard to explain sort of like a muscle spasm. I use icy hot as a preventive and it helps sometimes. I don't have this all the time but it does worry me when I do get it. Do you have any idea what it might be and could it be serious

Brief Answer:
Probably a referred pain pain from the spine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
The pain you feel is probably a referred pain from the spine due to a disc pinching on the nerve.
It is usually not a serious problem.
However I think you should see a doctor and have yourself examined and have xray of the thoracic spine.
Take care
