What Causes Muscle Pain In The Leg?

Question: Possible cause of deep muscle pain in one (Right) leg. Affects thigh muscle and shin bone muscle. Dull pain that is not constant...but quite frequent. Difficulty standing and walking when pain is present. Sit down for 30 mins and pain goes away. Pain occurs in various areas of the thigh... but only in the right front of the shin area.
Have been taking 20 mg of Paxil for GAD for 15 years and 1 year ago had on stent inserted into one artery. No other medications being taken at this time. Age of 67... health care thru VA.

Hello,
I have studied your case. I think this is Lumbar canal stenosis. In this condition there is pain in back and leg. This is common around shin and calf region. It get relieved with rest. I have following suggestions for you.

1.You need to get MRI of your spine to confirm the diagnosis.
2.Continue physio for back.
3.Tablet Pregabalin M at night time.

If there is compression in spine then treatment depends on severity. For 50 percent compression medication are helpful. If it is more then that then you will need surgery.
