Question: I have had multiple lipomas (a year ago, I had 31 inches of incisions to remove them), and there are some in my abdomen. I also have shortness of breath, and fatty liver. Could it be that my shortness of breath is caused by the lipomas? If so, how would this be properly diagnosed, and how would it be treated?

Brief Answer:
Not likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome.

Multiple subcutaneous lipomas are not uncommon and usually these are related to intra-abdominal or intrathoracal lipomas. However, this can't be ruled out without abdominal CT scan.

Breathing difficulties would be caused by intrathoracal lipoma only however these are rare. So your symptoms may be caused by certain heart or lung diseases which should be investigated in details.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Wish you good health.
