Detailed Answer:

Dear XXXXXX,

Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.

I can understand your anxiety about your health. I will try my best to answer your question.

Given your clinical history you seem to be suffering from herpes simplex infection. however I would give the following differential diagnosis:

Infectious mononucleosis

Measles

Ludwigs angina

Paratonsillar abscess

Bullous disorder if theres an associated rash.

Behcets disease

The most probable diagnosis is herpes infection.

I would recommend you an anti viral drug for 7 days. acyclovir is the generic name. rules of the website prevent me from prescribing a particular drug.

I would suggest a topical ointment for pain relief which is orasep LA and zytee gel.

I would recommend an oral analgesic drug as well.

I would suggest you consume a liquid diet for next 3 days and take paracetamol for fever.

It is in your best interest to have an ENT doctor examine you for confirming the clinical diagnosis. this is because your lesions are extending into the throat and they are best on local examination for the same.

I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Thakker.
