Question: Lately I've experienced several sudden momentary sharp upper body pains. They go away as quickly as they come. Don't know what to make of them. I am 67, have diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure and cholesterol issues I take medication for.

Brief Answer:
Diabetic neuropathy/spondyloarthrosis to rule out

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

Taking into account your personal history of diabetes, the sharp upper body pain could be related to diabetic neuropathy.

Further examination by neurologist is advised to rule it out.

MRI of spinal cord could be recommended to exclude related problems (e.g. spondyloarthrosis).

For the moment , I can only advise to take painkiller when having the pain and start multivitamin supplements.

Hope it helps.
