What Causes Missed Period Despite Having Primolut N?

default
Posted on Fri, 16 Jan 2015
Question: HI, I'm a 27 yr girl, having irregular periods since the beginning. Last year I had missed my perios for about 2 months and took primolut N and got my periods in 2 days. Now again I'm facing a missed period, but this time I got a tablet named "Primaout no" from a local medical store and even after 3 days of taking it I'm not getting my periods. May I know if these tablets are 2 different one's and causing an issue? What should I do now? Please advice.

Brief Answer:
CLARIFY NAME, WAIT FOR A WEEK MORE, GET EVALUATION DONE

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
There is actually no tablet of the name you mention.
Can you check if there is a typing mistake , or probably upload a photo that shows the name mentioned.
You should not take these tablets without consulting a gynecologist.
The tablets should be taken twice a day for 5 days.
After stopping, you get a period within a week, provided you are not pregnant and there is no gross hormonal disturbance.
With irregular cycles, you should have thorough evaluation with a gynecologist for cause of irregular cycles.
This should include internal exam, Pap smear, hormonal tests and a pelvic ultrasound scan.
All the best

Brief Answer:
START THE PROPER ONE, PARTICULARLY AFTER CONSULTING A GYNEC

Detailed Answer:
Frankly it sounds like a duplicate pill.
Please purchase the correct proper medication.
And once again, my recommendation is to consult a gynecologist before beginning the drug.
Take care.
