Brief Answer:
It can be a mild swelling

Detailed Answer:
Hello

There can be many reasons for the swelling, the most common being either some blood clot or a minor salivary gland infection.

Both these conditions can be managed with pain killers like Tab Paracetamol 500mg 2-3 times a day after food, gargling with antiseptic mouth wash like Chlorhexidine 2-3 times a day and avoiding hot and spicy food.

If the pain persists for more than 3 days or the swelling increases in size then I would strongly advice you to meet your doctor.
