Question: My 27 month old has had a mild fever (less than 102F) for last 4 days. He is active and playful. He had mild diarrhea to begin with and has now also developed some throat congestion. Is it normal for fevers to last for more than 4days?

Brief Answer: Yes, they exceed sometimes. Detailed Answer: Greetings. Having fever for more than 2 to 4 days is absolutely normal. It seems like a viral fever from the picture that you are giving. One thing that you should take care of is not to let the fever exceed to higher levels. She should be normal in a couple of days, in case the congestion increase, an antibiotic will be good. Don’t worry. Regards.
